外国诗里为什么这么多次用加了est

有些形容词加了est变动词了，有些有是动词加了est，比如Thy infinite gifts come to me only on these very small hands of mine. Ages pass, and still thou pourest, and still there is room to fill.里的pourest，完全不懂为什么啊，球大神指教。。
