这个英语句子有错误吗

这个句子是重庆07高考题里的句子，我认为第二个to应该删去，老师说过except和but一样，前有do，后无

这里的to不是指跟在except后面的动词的。
而是have to的省略。
原句应该是这样的：You don't have to do anything except that you have to be with them and be yourself.
也就是说可以看成这句话把that you have省略了。
