不仅 not, 而且had 也要删除；正确的说法：
We don't need a course in walking any more than we need one in breathing. (注意， 我也将第二个 a course换成了one， 这样更地道些。)
关于第二句：
你说的没错，主句中的don’t 要删除。但 than 从句中的 had 也应该删除 --- 也许是你多输入了？正确的说法：
Few of us think we need a course in walking any more than we need one in breathing. (同样将第二个 a course换成了one)
总结：not any more than 后的从句中应该用肯定形式，而不同否定形式 --- 如果表示“和。。。一样不。。。”的话。
