最开始我也这么想的。可是为了额外商品2，要放弃商品1。那么应该是提高了商品1的数量的减速才对吧。所以我感觉宾语从句中的定语从句是不是the person is willing... the amount of good 1。然后第二个increases才是the amount of good 1的谓语，不知道这样理解对不对呢，就是感觉翻译不通。。

感谢大神的鼓励哈！不过for这肯定是表目的的，表原因翻译不通了，商品2的额外增加不可能增加商品1。所以就姑且认为是作者笔误好了，哈哈！
