《纸牌屋》现在已经播到第五季，这部美国政治剧已经在全球热了5年之久。《纸牌屋》是一部根据同名小说改编的政治剧，据说美国前任总统奥巴马也是其忠实的剧迷。
除了娱乐性之外，该剧也有很多写实的地方。在第二季热播的时候，《参考消息》刊载了拜伦•特乌的文章《纸牌屋中关于美国政治献金的错误概念》，指出《纸牌屋》一剧虽反映了美国选举运作的部分情况，但对于政治献金的表现有多处不实。
改天我们再谈这部剧的剧情和内涵，今天我们先直接讲讲《纸牌屋》中的经典台词。

当时我看剧的时候，就想起了二战时临危受命的英国首先丘吉尔那段著名的演讲。当时，法国已经亡国，在伦敦屡遭空袭之时，温斯顿·丘吉尔临危受命，并以超人的胆识与果敢向英国人民及全世界发出了那段著名的宣告：
“我们将在海滩上作战，我们将在陆地作战，我们将在田野和街道中做战，我们将在山区作战，我们决不投降。”
这似乎是欧美政治家们（虽然平心而论，弗兰克充其量只能算作一名政客）一以贯之的气魄与愿景。二战历史上，丘吉尔领导的战时内阁的成立标志着绥靖主义在英国的终结，由于英国军民同仇敌忾，斗志昂扬，加之英国掌握了无线电窃听技术用于截获德军军事情报，并成功地发明了雷达应用于防控，德军的空战损失比英军更为惨重，“不列颠空战”是德国发动战争以来遭受的首次挫败。
而如今的弗兰克，在华盛顿遭遇过失败、面对过对手的狙击，但是他也选择了“不能失去信心”。看剧的时候，我屡屡惊讶于弗兰克手段的高明与暗黑：只要能达到目的，身边的一切人、一切事都可以被他利用，阴谋、权术、手段……下木夫妇将这一切玩弄于鼓掌之间，这即是《孙子兵法》里的“兵不厌诈”，也是马基雅维利在《君主论》中所鼓吹的“君主不应受任何道德准则的束缚，只需考虑效果是否有利，不必考虑手段是否有害 ，既可外示仁慈 、内怀奸诈，亦可效法狐狸与狮子，诡诈残忍均可兼施。”
在美国驴象之争的政治生态中，弗兰克可以说是如鱼得水的；也许这就是政治的本色，这也正是“纸牌屋”如此受欢迎的原因吧。
