不知道你这儿为什么每道题的句首字母都不大写，句子都不完整。是不是为了回顾某篇文章而设计的题目呀？如果这样，应当回归到文章本身来谈论题目。
第七题。我从网上找到的句子。

对应的 选项A，应该是 even though it was a才对。因为failure用作名词时，通常不单独使用。
由句子结构来看，两个逗号之间是插入语，which和后面的kept me fasinated为定语从句，因此选项D就无法填入了。
选项B，in spite of the，未能说清failure和experiment的关系。
