central是形容词。有三个意思：1、（只用于名词前）中心的，中央的。例：the Mountains of central Europe/中欧地区的群山。 2、（不能用于名词前）因靠近中心而便利的。例：Our house is very central for the shops and theaters./我们的房子靠近市中心，到商店和戏院去都很方便。 3、（只用于名词前）最重要的。例：The central aim of this government is social equality./本届政府的首要目标是争取社会平等。
