live与live in的区别
如图，这是人教英语九年级全一册的Unit15 Section 3a.
第一句是Zoos are terrible place for animals to live.
但下面又有一句that was suitable for animals to live in.
那么这里的Live 和Live in用法有什么不同呢？
难道是主语的词性么?

1.live

2.live in
释义：住在学习或工作的地方;住在（某地）；存在于…；为…而生存
二、用法不同
1.live
用法：live当居住将的时候，后面不能直接接宾语。
2.live in
用法：表示居住的时候，是不及物动词，不能直接接宾语。
三、侧重点不同
1.live
解析：表示生活，特指居住的环境，房子，城市等。
例句：She has lived here for 10 years.她在这里住了10年了。
2.live in
解析：表示居住在某一地方，特指居住的地方。
例句：I just live in hope that one day she'll talk to me.我只是妄想着有一天她会和我说话。

当中心词为place时，后面的不定式短语中的介词in可省略:
We have no place to live (in).
There is no place for us to live (in).
Zoos are terrible place for animals to live (in).
若中心词是其它名词，介词不能省略：
There is only one room (for us) to live in.

第一个live是生存的意思，是及物动词；第二个live是居住的意思，是不及物动词，后需加介词

不是，live是居住，生活，第二句话在说地点，live in 住进的意思，这两句话都没有问题

我怎么觉得第一句话有问题啊？Live是不及物动词，必须有介词搭配，除非遇见where. there. home等副词。。。live zoos？这不是错误搭配吗？第一句话应该是错的。
