所谓相对静止的概念，是in front of 好像在显示一幅画、一张照片，在描绘一刹那的相对位置状态，所以带来的感觉是“静止的”，也是与空间有关的。
He is sitting in front of the window.
There is a TV in front of the sofa.
They are standing in front of us.

in front of 与 ahead of 都可用指出一个队列的人或事物的前後关系，即表示 before之意。
There were more than a hundred people ahead of us in the queue to get into the cinema.
The man in front of me let me go first because I looked so ill.

ahead of 除了用於指出空间的相对位置，也会用於时间上的差距。
譬如，ahead of time, ahead of schedule 表示早了

另外，ahead of 有行动方向和比拼的感觉，像是在看影片。They are walking ahead of us. 他们走在我们前面，也就是双方都向同一方向进发，只是他们走在我们前头。所以说它是比较动态的。

ahead of含义较多
ahead of time 可以用in advace 替换，表示提前，提早。
但是如果是ahead of sth/sb则是表示in front of 在...前面

唔，我想in front of是在位置的前面，所以说是相对静止；ahead of是能力，技术等等在别人的前面，也就是领先别人，超出别人，所以说是动态的行为。这是我的理解。本回答被网友采纳
