英语非谓语动词中现在分词

while taking to you,your could-be employer is deciding.......
这句话中while是连词，可以连接两个句子，但是前一个句子中taking不是现在分词么？现在分词不是非谓语动词么？那这句话taking为什么做谓语啊？

现在分词或过去分词词组作状语时，有时为了使所表示的时间、条件等一目了然，可以在分词前加上if/when/even if/while等。再如：
