【含义】
or与er作后缀讲，均表示“……人”，
区别主要是：er作后缀，这类词多数情况下，表示的人物社会地位比较低，beginner、driver、teacher等；
or作后缀，这类词多数情况下，表示的人物社会地位比较高，director、doctor、tutor等。一般常见的词语中，后缀加er的情况多于or，一般在词语以ate、it、ct结尾的词语后，多使用or。

1)-an,-ain,表示“……地方的人，精通……的人”American,historian
