宾语从句中that一般情况可省 ,但也并不是任何情况下都可以省略.
宾语从句中that不能省略的情况
1. 句中出现两个或两个以上的由that引导的宾语从句时，第一个从句的that可以省略，其余的并列宾语从句中的that要保留。
例如：He said (that)the book was very interesting and that all the children like to read it. （他说这本书很有趣，孩子们都喜欢读它。）
2. that从句中又有其他从句时。
例如：He told us that, if we could all come to help out,the whole situation would be getting better. （他告诉我们，如果我们都过来帮忙，整个情况会好些。）
3. it作形式宾语代替that引导的宾语从句时
例如：I don't think itpolite that they left without saying thanks. （我认为他没说谢谢就离开是不礼貌的。）
4. 当宾语从句的主语是this，that或者被this，that修饰时
例如：The teacher said that thatword was wrong. （老师说那个词是错的。）
5. 当宾语从句是双宾语中的直接宾语时
例如： I want to tellyou that this problem is very common. （我想告诉你这个问题是很普遍的）
6. 当宾语从句前有插入语时
例如：We hope,on the contrary, thathe will stay at home with us. （相关，我们希望他跟我们呆在家里。）
