join, take part in ,attend的辨析
这几个词或短语都有“参加”的意思。区别：
1)join：指加入某个组织成为其中一员。
join the Army/the Party/the League参军/入党/入团
join (sb.) 指参与某项活动，口语中常与take part in 通用。
He joined you in the walk.他和你们散步。
2)take part in指参加群众性活动、会议并在其中起积极作用。
May I take part in your game? 我可以参加你们的游戏吗？
3)attend是正式用语，指参加会议、婚礼、典礼；听报告、讲座等。
He'll attend an important meeting tomorrow.他明天要参加一个重要会议
join in join in多指参加小规模的活动如“球赛、游戏”等，常用于日常口语。如：
Come along, and join in the ball game. 快，来参加球赛。
Why didn't you join in the talk last night? 昨晚你为什么没参加座谈？
