3. 31空前后都是逗号，联系上下文可以知道这里填的不是一个形容词、动词或者名词。只有副词比较合适。这里译作：“奇怪地”这里修饰dumped
4. as life would have it = 生活有些事在所难免，as的用法很多，这里表示“伴随着”的意思
