答案是 what is there ，或 what's there
用单数而不用复数，原因是我们预先不知道箱子里面是什么，所以默认单数。
（顺便一提语法上说 what items are in the box 也可以。）

What's in the box?

1、因为提问者并不知道里面装的是什么，也就无从判断单复数，单数形式提问没错。

2、不需要用 there be 的形式提问 -- 完全可以问“盒子里是什么？”

如果用 there be 提问，应该是 Is there anything in the box? 也不能用 What is there in the box?本回答被提问者和网友采纳
