我觉得区分关于other的词组还要加上another
the other主要是作:one...the other 用，就是：一个……另一个的意思，举个例子：
One of them is blue，the other ones are purple. 它们的其中一个是蓝色的，其他的是紫色的。
用the others就省略了后面的名词复数，the other则后面还需要加名词复数，例如： One of the children likes reading，the others like singing.
这些孩子们中的一个喜欢阅读，其他的喜欢唱歌。
一般情况做这个搭配用，如果句中没有范围就得用another。
another后面加单数，另一个，其他一个的意思。
例如：Would you like this shirt？I like another one.
你喜欢这件衬衫吗？我喜欢另一件。
还有作“再一个”的意思，例如：
Would you like another cup of coffee？
你想要再来一杯咖啡吗？
some之类的词也是范围。如果不做固定搭配用，又有范围，一般就用other或others
any other加单数，意思是“任何其他的”
He is taller than any other boy of the class.
他比班上任何一个男生都高。
这个情况下也就是比较级+than+any other+名词单数可以表示最高级的意思
同义句：He is the tallest boy of the class.
他是班上最高的男生。
some other加复数，表示“一些其他的”，例如：
There are some other things in the shop.
店里（还）有一些其他的东西。
the other不用the的情况下加复数
如果other前有形容词性物主代词（比如my，your，his，her，its，Tom's）不加定冠词the，也就是说任何情况下形容词性物主代词后不能加定冠词，例如：
One of my friends likes singing and my other friends all like dancing.
我的朋友其中一个喜欢唱歌，我其他的朋友都喜欢跳舞。
each other = one another 互相，例如：
help each other/one another 互相帮助
others同the others一样也是省略了后面的名词复数，同样前面有形容词性物主代词的情况下不用the
others也能表示他人。
We should respect others.我们应该尊重他人。
个人建议another单独记，the other和other一起记，the others和others一起记，不容易混淆而且有共同特征
sometimes 频率副词 “有时候”的意思 划线提问问频率用How often 常用于一般现在时和一般过去时
例如：He sometimes plays football.他经常踢足球。
sometime “某时”的意思 一般用于将来时
some time “一段时间”的意思
some times 表示次数，“几次”的意思，划线提问划some用How many times提问 time在这里表示次数是可数名词
