的确可以说shouid not spend
但是他们说英语时会比较注重状态上的区别,是持续中的还是停顿状态的。如果适合表示持续中的状态,就会用be doing sth 而不是do sth.
在表示未来会发生的事情时也是这样,比如,会偏向用 i'm not going to work tomorrow.
另外,should do 这样的词组语气上是最强硬的,在表达建议的时候很少用(中国人自己经常这么说)。一般他们都会用 should (not) be doing来代替。

进行时就是强调动作的进行呗,看电视这个动作时一直持续的,所以这种用法比较好啊,比较地道

be spending是利用了现在进行时表示一段时间老是做某事的意思 有一种不满和否定的语气在里面 而spend只是客观的陈述
