1.others是other的复数形式,泛指“另外几个”,“其余的”.在句中可作主语、宾语.如：

the others 特指某一范围内的“其余全部的人或物”；
如：There are thirty books on the bookshelf. Five are mine, the others are my father’s.
others 泛指“另外的人或物”， 但不指其余的人或物的全部。
如：Some like swimming, others like boating.

1、others 泛指别人(就是没有一定范围)，可与some连用。
the others 表示其余所有的人或物(在一定范围内)。
例如:Some pupils are reading the text loudly, others are doing their homework。
2、others和the others之间的区别即是有没有定冠词的区别，有the时为特指，有范围的限制；没有the时为泛指，没有范围。
如：
Some students of Class 2 went to the cinema. The others were still at school studying.(二班的一些学生去看电影，另一些在学校学习）这句是有范围的，所有的学生都是二班的。
Some students like learning science while others like art.(一些学生喜欢学理科而另一些喜欢文科）这句没有范围，指所有的学生。
