few、little、a few、a little的用法归纳：
注意：few、little与a few、a little在句子表示的肯定或者否定意思区别于前面的（a），有（a）表示肯定意思，没有（a）表示否定意思。

例：There is a little fish in the pool.池塘里有几条鱼。
There are a few apples on the table.桌子上有几个苹果。
There is little fish in the pool.池塘里几乎没有鱼。
There are few apples on the table.桌子上几乎没苹果。
(1)、 few 和 a few 修饰可数名词，后接名词复数形式，little 和 a little 后接不可数名词。含义都是少量的意思。a little,一点，用于不可数名词之前，修饰不可数名词。little,几乎没有（否定意义），用于不可数名词之前，修饰不可数名词。
(2)、few 和 little 意为“很少，几乎没有”，表否定；a little 和 a few 意为“有几个”，“有一点”，表肯定。
(3)、few、little意思是“很少几个”、“几乎没有”,有否定的意思。
(4)、a few、a little意思是“有几个”、“有些”,有肯定的意思 。(5)、few、a few与可数名词连用或代替可数的事物。
(6)、little、a little与不可数名词连用或代替不可数的事物。
它们在句中可作主语、宾语和定语。
如：He is very poor and he has little money.
他很穷，几乎没有什么钱。
Don’t worry. There is still a little time left.
别着急，还有一点儿时间呢。
(7) 、not a few = no few = quite a few = a good few = many
(8) 、当 few受 every, last, past, next, some, very等词所修饰时，表示肯定意义，few之前不再有a 冠词。如：
In the last few minutes, he checked up his paper again.
在最后的几分钟，他有检查了一次试卷。
It took us some few days to repair the machine.

(9)、在非正式英语中，一般很少用little，常用not much, only a little来代替，
