Soon the hobby leads to travel, perhaps to a meeting in another town, possibly a trip abroad in search of a rare specimen, for collectors are not confined to any one country.(用不了多久,有这种爱好的人便开始旅行,也许是去另一个城市参加会议,也可能是出国寻找一件珍品,因为收藏家是不分国籍的。)
1,既然search有多种词性,那“to search of”中动词“search”为什么不能接“of”呢?
我的意思是,既然search有多种词性,那“to search of”中动词“search”为什么不能接“of”呢?
They went through the rooms, being careful to touch nothing, as they did not want to hinder the police in their search for fingerprints.
只不过这里不是 in search for,而是 in one's search for 这一种用法。
