《Faded》的创作背景

艾兰·沃克于2014年创作的《Fade》是《Faded》的前身。《Fade》推出后受到了Youtube音乐品牌NCS的关注，艾兰·沃克随即推出由《Fade》重新编曲后的混音单曲《Faded》，同时邀请到挪威女歌手艾斯琳·索尔海姆献唱，电音制作人Tiësto为该单曲做混音  。

《Faded》管弦乐版是艾兰·沃克后来发布的，因为受到汉斯·季默等电影原声制作人的极大鼓舞，他想用另一个版本来突出这首歌的其他方面，最终决定是用一段扫过的弦乐部分来取代这段令人神往的崩溃。
