　　一、基本区别
　　either和neither均用于指两者，either意为“两者之一”“任意一方”，neither意为“两者都不”。两者均可直接修饰名词，但被修饰名词要用单数形式。如：
　　He could write with either hand. 他两只手都能写字。
　　You may take either of the roads. 两条路你走哪一条都行。
　　Neither statement is true. 两种说法都不是事实。

1) either指两者中的任何一个，neither指两者都不。作代词时，either, neither一般接单数动词。作限定词时，一般加单数名词。
