MSDE是微软的一个数据库引擎。

和SQL2000这种数据库差不多，区别的是MSDE适用于个人使用，是SQL2000这种大型的数据库引擎一种代替产品。

有点电动车和公交车的概念吧。呵呵！

MSDE经常会被微软的一些产品所使用到，像

ASP.NET
Office
等一些编程的软件都会使用到。
