1。as 作引导词，不能引导并列句、名词从句、定语从句；
2。从它的作用来看，明显是在修饰 published。
另外，我认为句中的 as 与一般的 as 引导词不同，是 as……as 的省略形式 —— 如……一样：
the editor reluctantly published the article as that as it had originally been written。
编辑无可奈何（很不情愿）地按原先写好的稿子那样来出版。
