just as是状语，所以句子的主干是we know,那么很明显that是宾语从句。宾语从句中，if引导非真实条件句，即虚拟语气。是虚拟语气，因为主句时态是一般现在时，如果是真实条件句相应的也会用一般现在时。所以用一般过去时是对现在的假设。本回答被网友采纳
