Not bad enough to stay 留下也无大碍;有尔不多,无尔不少;食之无味,弃之不甘/可惜

"Not bad enough to leave, but not good enough to stay. (1)" What does this expression reminds you of, vis-a-vis关于 "Romance of the Three Kingdom"? (1) I did not copy down the title. I might have remembered it incorrectly. It might have been "Not good enought to stay, but not bad enough to leave." Either way, the meaning is the same.

I saw this book title today when I was at the local library. The book was in a "used book for sale bin" and I did not have time to read the backcover to see what it is about. However, the title reminded me of the Chinese expression (from 三国志) 味同鸡肋 :食之无味,弃之可惜(to be hardly worth eating but not bad enough to throw away / to be unappetizing and yet not bad enough to be thrown away / It's rather lacking in flavour, but it would be a pity to throw it away)。本回答被提问者采纳
