英语四级笔试考试时间为125分钟，口语考试时间为6分钟。

大学英语笔试每年6月和12月各举行两次。具体测试时间将在每年年初通知。6月份，被试为CET-4和CET-6、日语CET-4和CET-6、德语CET-4、德语CET-6、俄语CET-4、俄语CET-6和法语CET-4。12月份，只考了四、六级。

英语四级要求掌握单词caution,n. 小心，谨慎；警告，警示。
