不知道你的名词做形容词到底指哪一方面，所以我知道的两种情况都给你写出来：

“be of＋抽象名词”，该结构相当于“be＋抽象名词的同根形容词”结构，用于此结构的名词常见的有value, importance, use, help, significance, interest, honour, courage等，在这些名词前可以用great, some, any, much, little, on等词修饰。

　　e.g. The meeting is of great importance.

　　 　　=The meeting is very important.

　　 　　这个会议很重要。

　　 　　The medicine is of no use.

　　　　 =The medicine is useless.

　　 　　这药无效。

2】
名词的这种用法非常复杂，很多学者研究。但是形容词和名词做定语，意义是有区别的。
physical test 体格检查（physical:身体的，体力的）
physics teacher 物理老师 （不是体力方面的老师）

一个英国的老师 （English 作形容词）
一个英语老师 （English作名词）
