根据英语一般规则,句中主语是 Kate Jim 和 I,三个人,are作为系动词,当主语是复数形式的时候,系动词则也需要采用复数形式,时态是一般现在时,所以用are。
当主语是单数时候,例如Kate is my good friend。这时候主语是第三人称单数,系动词则需要用is。
