允许某人做某事

不对，这是新概念教材的一句话，意思是“他们承认他们对网球陌生吗”

admit也有承认的意思。
admit后面要加Ving
strange是一个形容词，当然不能这么用了。
可以写成:Do they admit being strange to the tennis court?也可以。

可以的，但通常表示“允许，接纳……进入”
