首先，一个标准的英语句子里面除了从句，只能有一个动词，这个句子里的动词就是"swam"，所以D首先要排除。这个句子由两部分组成，she swam to the shore . she had spent（过去完成时，这个动作发生在Swam 之前） the night in the water。用现在分词做时间状语，在此处表示动作由主语"she"发出，并且是时间状语，她在水里待了一晚上才游到岸边。追问
