1.A. 现在长头发当然是过时了的，女孩们甚至喜欢留短发。out of style是过时，不时髦的意思。out of modern没有这个说法，behind the time应该是不合时宜的，与题意不符。in the latest style 最近的发型？也不符合题意。

2. A.volunteer可以作动词，表达自愿做什么，形式是volunteer to do something.

3.B.not only but also句，如果not only提前作为句首，则句子要倒装。只有BD倒装了，但D用过去进行时，不符合要求。

4.D. make friends with sb.是固定搭配，没有make a friend with sb.的说法。

5.? 题目搞错了吧，是把watched打横线吧？？为什么用watch不用其他是因为：
watch有种注视的感觉，是可持续性动词；
see强调看的结果，不强调看的过程；
notice强调注意到什么东西，也是强调结果；
observe是观察观测，显然不能说观察火车直至消失在视线中。

6.B。首先start没有进行时代，不能说somebody is starting doing/to do sth.
have started 是现在完成时强调结果，显然不对；
had started 是过去完成时，不能说他打电话来的时候 我完成了开始洗澡吧。其实这个错误最主要的是在于前面句子用的是had finished ……，然后就开始怎样，所以后面的句子不能也用过去完成时咯。
此处的一般过去时表达的是我那是完成了我的工作，正开始洗澡。started to ……

7.? appear to do; 怎么会有appear dated back to 呢？
何况date back to 和 date from都是"追溯到",后面加某一时间短语；怎么会这样呢？ ABCD答案选项搞错了吧？？
