purple和violet的区别：
虽然二者看起来非常相似，但是在光学上有着重大差异。violet是光谱色，它位于光谱的最末端，这个定义在历史上第一次是由牛顿在1672年定义的，它的波长大约在380-420纳米之间。
而purple则是由红蓝两种光谱色混合而成的，因此对于purple来说，它是复合色彩，其光学性质不再单纯，也就没有波长一说，事实上红蓝的组合产生了物理上的干涉现象，这里不做详细说明。
虽然purple紫色和violet紫色在科学上的定义是明确的，但是在文化上的定义却表现出多样性。在法国，purple紫色被定义为“深红色的、倾向于紫罗兰色的色彩”，purple紫色在法语中写作pourpre。
