Dear Tom,
Hope you are well. At the moment I am studying in Cambridge - the workload is intense, from 9 to 5 everyday, but I am really enjoying it. To be able to study with so many likeminded people is a real privilege, and one that I am really treasuring. The lecturers are knowledgeable, my supervisors are exceptionally nice and I get along well with them. They challenge, stretch and nurture my intellectual capabilities, and allow me to think for myself, which is a skill that secondary school haven't taught me.
Aside from studying, I am taking part in many extracurricular activities. Recently I started rowing - it's really fun, but having to get up at 5am every morning isn't so fun! As term finishes quite early, would you like to come and spend Christmas with me? I could take you around Cambridge to do some sight seeing. Get back to me if you are interested.
All the best,
Yours,
Hua

Dear Tom ,
It
was great to hear from you again . There are many things going on in
our school . In fact things have got much better since we started a
different way of learning .
In
the past our teachers stood in front of the class talking all the time
while we students listened , busily taking notes . After a tiring day
at school , we always had a lot of homework to do . Sometimes we even
worked late into the night . Now we are active in class . We often have
discussions in pairs or in groups . After class we enjoy all kinds of
activities , such as going in for sports , dong experiments or surfing
the Internet.
We
are extremely happy about the changes in our studies .
All the best
,
Yours ,
