1 The driver was badly hurt in the accident and he was sent to hospital immediately.
2 he goes to school
就这两句句子我想问一下第一个句子中的he was sent to hospital immediately中为什么要加个was? 不是有谓语sent就可以了吗？ 就像第二个句子有goes不用is 可为什么第一个句子里要呢？

“he was sent to hospital immediately ”中的“was”是被动语态中的be动词 必须得有
第二个句子是在一般现在时态中go的常用方法 不必用was

第一个句子中，was sent 是被动式的用法。被送往。。。，而不是他送别人去。。。
第二个句子，是主动式，他去上学。而不是“被去上学”本回答被提问者采纳
