I quote: California Straw builders Association, ‘Hays is for horses, straw is for houses’. Hay is a collective term of a mixture of plants like rye, alfalfa, clover etc. These plants were cut and dry using as animal feeds.
Straw are dried stems of grain like wheat and barley after threshing. Straw has much lower nutritional value. Because the stems are soft and hollow, it is used as bedding for animals and even human. Being hollow, straw is also a good insulator, therefore, can used as building material.追问
