Acoustic parameters of damping materials are important indicators for acoustic performance assessment. The acoustic parameters vary in different frequency ranges. This paper summarizes the basic principles and applicable range of various domestic and international measurements for the acoustic parameters of damping materials.

Damping technology is one of the most efficient methods to control viberation and noise. It remains to be a hot research topic which draws attention from both home and abroad. The acoustic parameters of damping materials, which are different in different frequency, are significant criteria in evaluating their acoustic property.
